Nalbari

East India, Assam

Timeless Assamese Craft

Handcrafted with Nalbari\'s
rich traditions.

In Nalbari, the loom sings the song of Assam. Here, handloom is not just fabric — it’s memory, woven. Artisans sit before traditional tati looms and bring out the richness of Assamese life in every thread. Soft cotton and muga-silk blends become mekhela chadors, gamusas, and stoles dyed in the colors of mustard fields, tea gardens, and river skies. The hallmark is the simplicity. Clean borders, earthy textures, and motifs inspired by nature — fish, flowers, and the quiet geometry of village life. Each piece is light on the skin but heavy with culture. No two weaves are identical, because every weaver adds a bit of Nalbari’s breeze into it.
